I was delighted find out at a recent meeting of the Midland and Yorkshire Regions of the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) that I had once again been judged Pet Portrait Photographer of the Year for the Midland Region of the British Institute of Professional Photography. I was doubly delighted as my winning pet portrait, of Black Labradors Cookie and Peewee, also scooped me the title of Portrait Photographer of the Year.
And my other two entries, a monochrome study of a Dalmatian and a Pointer and Vizsla on location, were also awarded merits.
So very pleased to come back from the meeting with a nice new trophy and a clutch of certificates.
My winning image of Peewee and Cookie now goes forward to the national awards which will be judged in November. Fingers crossed!
Thanks to Paul Eddom, VIPS Photography, for the presentation image.
